Hello all! Today has been severely hectic in the Collins household. This morning we found out that the insurance company does not want to allow Tori's doctor to speak directly to the doctors on the medical review board to defend her particular case on a peer-to-peer level. Instead, they stated that "our appeal rights have all been exhausted." Not only were we not given the option of going through a normal appeals process but we also were not informed that they were sending it to the last appeal level. We are now appealing her case at the employer level to see if they can get the insurance company to override the denial of coverage for therapy.
Also, today the doctor told us that it is extremely important for Tori to start some kind of treatment within the next 2-3 weeks before the symptoms of her tumor worsens. We need to raise as much money as we can, which is why we have started the Go Fund Me site. We would really appreciate any donation, no matter how small. We would really like for Tori to receive the treatment as soon as possible and with your help she can.
